Victor Tung is a San Francisco designer and creator of one-of-a-kind couture fashions which I was so much excited to model. You will find his lovely artistic boutique at 654 Commercial St in San Francisco. Every single item by Victor is a standout that everyone compliments and envies.
As for my preferences, I really liked the silk coat in my favorite gamma (slide 1). Victor also paints on fabrics - he is a very talented artist (modern art). Just look at this dress (slide 2), skirt of which is painted according to Tung's directions. Interesting that eighty percent of the fabric used is obtained through unused fabric recycled from major fashion design houses and vintage couture pieces. All the couture wear is created and made in San Francisco, the finish work is impeccable. Many of Victor Tung's designs are featured in the NY Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Nob Hill Gazette, and 7x7 Fashion Magazine.
With every piece, his intention is to “enhance a woman’s natural beauty.” He doesn’t want his designs to take center stage when worn. Instead, he says, they should simply be “embellishments.” Tung is also a master of customized pieces, with about 50% of his work designed for specific customers. It is convenient for Bay Area residents because it is usually difficult to have couture fashions made locally.
Victor Tung Couture is located in the Financial District of San Francisco. Store hours are Monday through Friday, 10am – 4pm.
